Saints Constantine and Helena Resort is very gracious located in terms of natural, historical and cultural landmarks. Nearby you can see:
Aladzha Monastery
The monastery is a unique rock monastery from the 12th -13th century. It is situated in a beautiful area 14 km north of the city of Varna- the central part of the GoldenSandsNaturePark.
Nowadays the monastery is not active, but visitors can enter and look at it. The feeling that you actually walk inside the rock is amazing.
A group of caves known as the Catacombs is to the west of the monastery. The archaeological finds discovered there provide evidence that they were inhabited by people during the early-Christian Age (5th – 6th centuries). You can also enjoy the audio-visual show called Legends of Aladzha Monastery.
The Botanical Garden and the Palace in Balchik
You can see thousands of rare species of flowers, shrubs and trees in the the Botanical garden. Separate recreation places can be found among the flowers with wonderful views of the sea to enjoy the beauty of nature in all its forms. The second largest in Europe (after that of Monaco) collection of giant cacti that grow outdoors in the summercan be seen here. The palace was designed by Italian architects and is a complex of different buildings with different architectural style and design elements.
Pobiti Kamani /StoneForest/
Pobiti Kamani is a natural landmark which occurrence has multiple hypotheses. Pobiti Kamani is situated at a distance of about 18 km from the city of Varnaand the formations are stone columns of different height - from 5 to 7 meters.
Varna Archaeological Museum
The excavations of Varna Necropolis continue for more than 15 years. Artifacts that are found are exhibited in the ArchaeologicalMuseumof the city: gold jewelry, ornaments and other items that were placed in tombs with the dead. Impressive reproductions and descriptions of rituals, funerals and lifestyle types that existed thousands of years ago are available to all visitors.
The building of the ArchaeologicalMuseumhas a very interesting architecture. Exposures оf church icons and carvings are also displayed there.
Roman Baths
They are among the best preserved monuments of the ancient period in Bulgaria. They are constructed during the Roman Age, at the end of the 2nd centuryAD. This is the largest Roman bath on the Balkan
Peninsula and the fourth largest in Europe.
Varna Cathedral
Cathedral "The Assumption of Holy Mother" is a symbol of the city. It is situated on “St. Cyril and St. Methodius” square in the center of the city.
Sea Garden
The Sea Garden or the Sea Park is another symbol of the city and is said to be a monument of landscape architecture. It was arranged by the famous Czech gardener Anton Novak and is planted with rare plants, valuable tree and flower species. Its natural extension is the beach and the sea. There are many alleys, monuments, fountains, outdoor scenes. You can see herealso the Aquarium, the Zoo, the Dolphinarium, the Naval Museum, the Natural History Museum, Varna observatory with planetarium, various sports facilities and attractions. This combination of nature and landmarks makes the Sea Garden a favorite place for relaxation, walks and entertainmentto Varna citizens and visitors.
Dolphinarium
This is one of the most favouritespot for entertainment for the local residents, guests of the city and neighboring resorts. All children over 12 years and adults who have kept the child in their souls can swim with dolphins. The entertainment program is performed by five dolphins. Even if you sit in the coffee shop you will not miss a moment of their beautiful underwater game because of the transparent walls there. The Dolphinarium will definitely fascinate you.
